Radhe...β¨
This art is inspired by a legend behind a famous Temple in Vrindavan called - Radha Bansri Chor.
.
Legend has it that, one day Gopis in Vrindavan realised that Krishna was always busy playing his flute. They were jealous of his Bansuri because it seemed it was more dearer to him than they were.
.
One fine day Krishna found his Bansuri missing.. worried krishna ran to Radha's friends to ask about his Bansuri but none answered.
Krishn then began searching for Radha for he was sure none but only she can dare hide his Bansuri. Amidst the beautiful green trees of Vrindavan forest he saw his beloved Radhe playing his flute...π
.
The story is much more deeper than just this small excerpt do read it :)
.
While reading the story I couldn't stop myself from visualising this divine & pure moment of Krishna confronting Radha in forest and I had to put it on canvas π
.
For me the Month of May was all bout reading Krishna and his Divinity and I was really amazed about so many stories apart from the generic ones we hear all the time.. After all that I so want to visit places like Nidhivan, Vrindavan, Old Gokul, Dwarka etc π€one day..
.
One of the song that struck a chord with me on journey to create this piece was - " Tum Prem Ho " sung by @mohitlalwaniofficial @mlrecordsindia and that goes so well with this art ππ amazing vocals and music by the artist π
.
M not into Bhajans much BUT I did listened one on loop called - " Me Nahi Makhan Khayo" written by the famous 15th century poet Surdas and sung by Anup Jalota while drawing.. and it's just so pleasant πβ¨
.
I had so much pleasure creating this piece and this one will definitely be framed on my wall very soon :) hope you love this piece as well will definitely make more illustration on RadhaKrishn in future :D
.
Till then Radhe Radhe..ππ
