Still - Heartbreak Weather by @niallhoran Illustrated piece .

The song 'Still' from Niall Horan album Heartbreak Weather resonated with me a lot. To me, its a proposal that the lover makes to his beloved telling her that he wants to go back to their good old times. The times where they both were in love, the times where they were shooting for the "stars of gold", the times where they cared about the present more than what's gone and what's about to come. Although it's been a long while since the day they parted, he still wants to be with her and only her. The singer struggles with his feelings for the person he cares about because the distance between them is ever increasing... The song is sad yet hopeful.

Through this illustration I tried expressing the singers emotions. Showing a boy recalling his good times with his significant other and now when they have parted ways, he is still living those beautiful moments by remembering her in his thoughts... He cannot get over the truth that he is still in love with her..

I gave myself enough time working on this because I wanted it to be exactly how I imagined. Few days I would just sketch, give up for the day and go do some other drawing but then the very next day I surprisingly complete a major chunk of the piece! Coloring was a major challenge because I suck at it.. I suck at color combinations and stuff but ye I think I managed to pull this off well :)
